After a loop around Castle Acre the route follows the Peddars Way to the coast at Holme next-the-Sea, before following the coastal path all the way to Sheringham and the finish at Beeston Hall School.
There will be a 16 hour time limit – all competitors finishing by 10 pm.
Race forms part of Positive Steps Grand Slam. The other races are our 50 km and Peddars Way Ultra. All three events must be completed in any order in a 12 month period to be awarded the Grand Slam tankard.

Suitable for: Experienced marathon runners.

Start time: 07:00am
Entry details: Entries are online via Si Entries, using the link on this page. If you have not used Si Entries previously you will need to create an account with before entering. Once you have entered and paid you will receive confirmation and other correspondence about the race via Si Entries. Initially this may go into your spam box. If you need to amend any details of your entry you can log into your account at anytime and edit your entry. If you misplace any emails about the race you can go to message history and retrieve all emails.
Results details: We use gun timing on this event We will endeavour to check & publish results within 48 hours of the event finish.
Entry cost: £72 UKA affiliated, £74 non-affiliated
Refunds: Up to 6 weeks before the day of the race you will be entitled to 60% refund if you are unable to take part.
Deferment: Sorry but we do not do deferrals for events as this has a knock-on financial impact.
Transfers: You may transfer to another runner free of charge up to 6 weeks before the date of an event. Please log into Si entries and edit your entry using the substitute option.
Transport: Coaches will be available to take runners from the finish to Castle Acre and the start. Please book via Si Entries.
Postponement: Should it be necessary to postpone the race due to no fault of Positive Steps Fitness and Wellbeing Ltd, we will reschedule the event to another date in the current year or in the following year. Participants will be given the option to transfer to the rescheduled event or to be given a voucher code of an equivalent value for a future event.
Race numbers: Participants to collect on the day at registration
Cut off: Finish by 10 pm, with strict cut offs at Burnham & Stiffkey
Drop bag: A small (max 10L) drop bag can be transported to Burnham Overy Staith. These need to be clearly labelled with your name and race number
Personal drinks: Boxes for each checkpoint will be available at registration for runners personal drinks. These need to be clearly labelled with your name and race number
Refreshments: Checkpoints at approx. every 20km – Harpley, Thornham, Burnham Overy Staith (bag drop), Stiffkey & Weybourne
First aid: First-aiders will be present at the Start/Finish and along the course. If you develop medical problems, please alert the nearest marshal and prompt assistance will be provided.
Special info: No participant will be allowed to leave a checkpoint after 8 pm without a headtorch

The course has not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer, therefore all distances are approximate.
Race Rules
- To enter the race, you must be aged 21 years or over on the date of the race and MUST have completed a race of at least 26.2 miles in the previous 12 months.
- We strongly suggest that you are comfortable with distance running and also have experience of running off-road
- Anyone caught littering on the course be disqualified from the race.
- Running numbers must be worn on the front and must be clearly visible at all times.
- Runners compete in this event entirely at their own risk. There will be a full waiver to sign at registration. No runner will be allowed to compete without signing this waiver.
- Pacers will not be permitted during this run
- Mandatory kit - Detailed map of route, either paper or digital, and have the ability to use it! Fully charged mobile phone with emergency numbers programmed in. A waterproof jacket and a spare top as a minimum. Enough fluid to see you through between check points – we would recommend a litre. Emergency food. First Aid kit, which at a minimum must include plasters, adhesive dressing, antiseptic wipes, fixation tape and low adherent dressing. A torch for the night - no one allowed to continue past Cley after 7:00pm without one. You will always need to supply your own cup and please always consider weather conditions on the day when you get packing.
