Norfolk Coastal Trail Marathon 2018

Entries now open! The 2018 Norfolk Coastal Marathon will follow the 2017 route (backwards!) along a beautiful stretch of the north Norfolk coastline. We are pleased to announce that a team of East Anglia Air Ambulance volunteers will be joining the support crew. £5 of your entry fee will be donated to the EAAA.

Distance: Marathon/Half-Marathon

Suitable for: All abilities

Medals: All finishers will be awarded a bespoke medal

Places available: Marathon 150 / Half-Marathon 150

Event Details

Start time: Marathon 9am, Half-Marathon 10.30am

Entry details: On line entry only via Si entries

Results details: We use chip (electronic) timing at our events, and also may be manually recording your race number at checkpoints/finish for safety reasons. Please ensure your race number is clearly visible to marshals at all times. We will endeavour to check & publish results within 48 hours of the event finish.

Entry cost: Marathon £31 Half-Marathon £27 UKA affiliated (must quote UKA URN on entry), Non-UKA affiliated Marathon £33 Half-Marathon £29

Refunds: You will be entitled to a 60% refund if you are unable to take part, up until 6 weeks before the day of the race

Deferment: If you wish to defer your entry to the following year due to injury then you may do so up until 3 weeks before the day of the race, to allow us to fill your place

Transfers: Transfer of a place to another participant will be allowed with permission of the Race Director up until 2 weeks before the day of the race

Transport: Coach transport will be available from the finish location to the start, BEFORE the event begins (i.e. leave your car at the finish). Must be booked at the same time as entering. Cost £10

Race numbers: Participants to collect on the day at registration

Cut off: All participants must complete the event by 5pm

Drop bag: A small (e.g 10 litre) drop bag can be transported from the start to the finish line. This needs to be clearly labelled with your name & race number.

Refreshments: Checkpoints with water, squash & snacks approx every 7 miles

First aid: First-aiders will be present at the Start/Finish and along the course. If you develop medical problems, please alert the nearest marshal and prompt assistance will be provided

Friends/family: Supporters are most welcome at our events.

Race Rules

Minimum age on race day: (18) Full Marathon; (17) Half Marathon

No person (except a blind runner’s attendant) may accompany a competitor at any point on the course.

All competitors must compete on foot.

The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Cut-off times: All participants must be finished by 5pm.
