Norfolk Coastal Trail Marathon 2020

We have taken the decision to stop taking entries for our 2020 events until we are clear whether the event will go ahead.

You will still be able to pre enter, no money will be taken at this stage. You will be placed on a waiting list. If the event does goes ahead you will be invited to complete the entry process.

The 2020 Norfolk Coastal Marathon will follow along a beautiful stretch of the north Norfolk coastline. We are pleased that a team of East Anglia Air Ambulance volunteers will be joining the support crew. £5 of your entry fee will be donated to the EAAA. This event sells out months in advance so don't delay!

Distance: Marathon/Half-Marathon

Suitable for: All abilities

Medals: All finishers will be awarded a bespoke medal

Event Details

Start time: Marathon 9am, Half-Marathon 10.30am

Entry details: Entries are online via Si Entries, using the link on this page. If you have not used Si Entries previously you will need to create an account with before entering. Once you have entered and paid you will receive confirmation and other correspondence about the race via Si Entries. Initially this may go into your spam box. If you need to amend any details of your entry you can log into your account at anytime and edit your entry. If you misplace any emails about the race you can go to message history and retrieve all emails.

Results details: We will use gun time, and will manually record your race number at checkpoints/finish for safety reasons. Please ensure your race number is clearly visible to marshals at all times. We will endeavour to check & publish results within 48 hours of the event finish.

Entry cost: Marathon £32 Half-Marathon £28 UKA affiliated (must quote UKA URN on entry), Non-UKA affiliated Marathon £34 Half-Marathon £30

Refunds: You will be entitled to a 60% refund if you are unable to take part, up until 6 weeks before the day of the race

Transfers: Transfer of a place to another participant will be allowed with permission of the Race Director up until 2 weeks before the day of the race

Transport: Coach transport will be available from the finish location to the start, BEFORE the event begins (i.e. leave your car at the finish). Must be booked at the same time as entering. Cost £10. Marathon coach will leave promptly at 7.30am, Half-Marathon coach will leave promptly at 9am

Postponement: Should it be necessary to postpone the race due to no fault of Positive Steps Fitness and Wellbeing Ltd, we will reschedule the event to another date in the current year or in the following year. Participants will be given the option to transfer to the rescheduled event or to be given a voucher code of an equivalent value for a future event.

Race numbers: Participants to collect on the day at registration

Cut off: All participants must complete the event by 5pm

Drop bag: A small (e.g 10 litre) drop bag can be transported from the start to the finish line. This needs to be clearly labelled with your name & race number.

Refreshments: Checkpoints with water, squash & snacks approx every 7 miles

First aid: First-aiders will be present at the Start/Finish and along the course. If you develop medical problems, please alert the nearest marshal and prompt assistance will be provided

Finish line: All finishers will receive a bespoke medal, a finishers t-shirt and a warm welcome!

Race Rules

Minimum age on race day: (18) Full Marathon; (17) Half Marathon

No person (except a blind runner’s attendant) may accompany a competitor at any point on the course.

All competitors must compete on foot.

The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Cut-off times: All participants must be finished by 5pm.

Mandatory kit - a list will be sent in your final info email. It will simply be the items we consider you will need to keep you safe on the course. You will always need to supply your own cup and please always consider weather conditions on the day when you get packing.
